FIRE crews attended an electrical fire which spread to two flats in Ipswich this morning.
A neighbour alerted the fire service at around 7.30am, after seeing smoke coming from the windows of the flats in Thompson Road, off Bramford Lane.
Nobody was in the flats at the time and the cause of the fire was not thought to be suspicious.
Two crews from Princes Street and one from Colchester Road headquarters used breathing apparatus and hose reels to fight the fire.
The area was made safe and fire investigations began at around 8am.
