The 25-year-old was spared the public vote as girl group Kandy Rain became the first act to be kicked out of this year's competition.
They lost out to singer Rachel Adedeji on the judges' vote.
Last night's live results show also saw the comeback performance of pop king Robbie Williams and a turn from last year's winner Alexandra Burke.
Olly remains among the favourites to win the show, along with Danyl Johnson, Lucie Jones and Stacey Solomon.
