The Suffolk police helicopter was called to help search for a vulnerable man in Ipswich.
A police spokesman said a member of the public dialled 999 just after 2pm reporting concern for the wellbeing of a man in the Ipswich area.
He was found at around 9pm and police said he was taken to mental health care professionals for care.
