A 50-year-old man is recovering in hospital today from serious leg and head injuries after he collided with a car in Ipswich.The pedestrian was walking along Woodbridge Road near the junction with Britannia Road when he collided with a car at around 6.

A 50-year-old man is recovering in hospital today from serious leg and head injuries after he collided with a car in Ipswich.
The pedestrian was walking along Woodbridge Road near the junction with Britannia Road when he collided with a car at around 6.30pm yesterday.
The man was conscious when he was taken to Ipswich Hospital. A police spokesperson said he suffered a skull fracture and a broken tibia and fibia. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The driver of a K-registration black Rover 216, which had its windscreen shattered in the collision, was not injured.
Following the incident, the road between the Lattice Barn Pub and Barclays Bank was sealed off.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident to contact them on 01473 613500.
