Several thousand pounds worth of paint was stolen from a lorry parked in a layby on the eastbound carriageway of the A14.

It happened between 9pm on March 22 and 10am the following day.

Offenders cut a hole in the nearside curtain of the trailer and stole more than 800 tins of paint from within.

A Suffolk Constabulary spokeswoman said the paint was worth several thousand of pounds.

Witnesses who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the theft is asked to contact Pc Mark Simpson at Stowmarket Police Station on 101 with any information.
