POLICE in Essex have appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed following a collision with a car.
The accident happened last night at about 7pm in Fambridge Road close to the village of Althorne, near Burnham-on-Crouch and involved a red Peugeot 307 and a silver Honda motorbike.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from Burnham-on-Crouch, was declared dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “The road was closed for about five hours while police carried out an investigation.
“Any witnesses should contact Pc Paul Fisk at Chelmsford Road Policing Unit on 0300 3334444.”
