Police are appealing for witnesses to a road crash on a country road in which a cyclist suffered serious injuries.

The accident happened at just before 1pm on Sunday in Cavendish, near Sudbury.

A lorry was in collision with a cyclist on an unclassified road. A police spokesman said the cyclist was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, with serious pelvic injuries.

Any witnesses to the accident, which blocked the road for three hours, should call PC Jonathan Turner on 01284 774100.
