A woman has been taken to hospital after police responded to an incident in Ipswich this evening.
Suffolk police were called to the scene in Stone Lodge Lane, Chantry, at 7.12pm this evening after receiving reports of an assault.
The road was closed briefly and then reopened by 8pm.
A woman has been taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance.
