Emergency services were called shortly after midday to the car park at Homebase, in Purdis Farm.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said a woman, believed to be in her 80s was in collision with a blue Daihatsu Sirion.
She said she suffered injuries to her lower leg which were thought to be “life changing” and “possibly life threatening.”.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust said a female had been taken to Ipswich Hospital in Heath Road.
