Woman in hospital after car park drama

A PENSIONER is thought to be fighting for her life today after a collision with a car in a car park. Emergency services were called shortly after midday to the car park at Homebase, in Purdis Farm.

Emergency services were called shortly after midday to the car park at Homebase, in Purdis Farm.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said a woman, believed to be in her 80s was in collision with a blue Daihatsu Sirion.

She said she suffered injuries to her lower leg which were thought to be “life changing” and “possibly life threatening.”.

A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust said a female had been taken to Ipswich Hospital in Heath Road.
