A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after falling through the roof of a shop.

The 28-year-old suffered chest and neck injuries after the fall from the roof of Hogg's China shop in Lavenham's High Street on Saturday afternoon at about 4pm.

The ambulance crew were called and they arrived to find her unconscious but breathing.

She was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in an air ambulance.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service also attended as there were concerns she was trapped under debris but this was not the case. They made the premises safe.
