A woman has been rushed to Ipswich Hospital this morning after trapping her fingers in a car door while de-icing her car.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) were called to Mill Terrace in Stowmarket today at 8.12am.

A rapid response vehicle and ambulance crew were sent.

A EEAST spokesman said: “At the scene the woman, believed to be in her 30s, was assessed and treated for a traumatic hand injury before being taken to Ipswich Hospital for further care.

“Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
