A WOMAN was taken to hospital with “significant burns” tonight after firefighters bravely rescued her from a bungalow blaze in east Suffolk. The elderly lady was said to be in a “very serious condition” in Ipswich Hospital with 40-45% burns.

A WOMAN was taken to hospital with “significant burns” tonight after firefighters bravely rescued her from a bungalow blaze in east Suffolk.

The elderly lady was said to be in a “very serious condition” in Ipswich Hospital with 40-45% burns.

Suffolk Fire Service was alerted to the blaze, in the back room of a property in Angel Street, Hadleigh, at 10.12pm and sent three crews - from Hadleigh, Nayland and Ipswich - to the scene.
