A woman discovered an intruder inside her Ipswich home on Wednesday and ran to a neighbour to raise the alarm.
The incident took place at a property in Onehouse Lane between 12.30pm and 12.45pm.
The victim left the address at 12.30pm and after returning 15 minutes later, she discovered an intruder in the property, who is believed to have forced a back door.
The woman then left the property and ran to a neighbour to raise the alarm. It is not thought that anything was taken in the incident.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged 25-35, 5ft 9in tall and with shoulder length light to medium brown hair.
He was wearing a light coloured top and had a bandana with a diagonal pattern around the lower half of his face.
