A WOMAN and her dog have been saved after they were washed out to sea by a massive wave. The 56-year-old woman - who was staying with her husband in a cottage at Walton, Essex - had gone to the aid of her 14-year-old Golden Retriever, Stacey, who was trapped in the rough seas But the woman was then knocked into the water just before high tide at about 11.

But the woman was then knocked into the water just before high tide at about 11.10am on Saturday.
She was saved by Nigel Speight, the owner of a seafront kiosk and members of the beach patrol team.
