A CANNABIS factory has been uncovered by workmen carrying out maintenance at a house in a west Suffolk village.
More than 300 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment was discovered when workmen entered the house in Elizabeth Drive in Chedburgh, just south of Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday morning.
Police had to shut down the power to the house to make it safe while they conducted a full search of the property.
All the plants and drug production equipment was seized by officers.
A police spokesman said they wanted to hear from anyone with information about the factory or who may have seen suspicious activity in the area between December 16 and January 6.
