IT has been billed as a “fantastic triple bill” coming to Ipswich's Regent theatre and we've got tickets to give away.

Today the show's compere, Evening Star columnist and BBC Radio Suffolk presenter STEPHEN FOSTER previews a night not to be missed.

It's a night no rock fan will want to miss.

The long awaited return to Ipswich of Dutch masters Focus who are headlining a triple bill at the Regent Theatre on Monday next week.

And The Evening Star, in conjunction with promoter John Hessenthaler, has seven pairs of tickets up for grabs.

The show also features Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash and Creedence Clearwater Revived.

Focus emerged in the early 1970s and soon made their mark with the classic singles Sylvia and Hocus Pocus.

Their album Moving Waves is widely regarded as a rock classic and tracks from that era will feature in their show.

Founder member and keyboards maestro Thijs Van Leer is one of rock's great characters and he'll be back on the same stage he starred on more than 30 years ago at the pinnacle of Focus' worldwide success.

A spokesman for the band said: “Hits from the 70's light up the present-day scene just as they did 30 years ago when most of the men were boys.

“Now, they may be older, but their musicianship has continued to gather expertise whilst the numbers are as good as they always were.”

Wishbone Ash are another legendary act who took the rock scene by storm at around the same time as Focus.

With Martin Turner still at the helm you can expect to hear all their classics including Blowin' Free and Jail Bait.

Opening the show will be the familiar swamp rock sounds of Creedence Clearwater Revived.

Featuring Johnny "Guitar" Williamson and Geoff Hammond, and no not the ex-Ipswich Town star, CCR will recreate all the great songs made famous by John Fogerty and his original CCR band mates.

Who can resist Bad Moon Rising, Up Around The Bend and Proud Mary?

If you'd like to be part of this wonderful night of rock then answer the following three questions:-

1) From which country do Focus originate?

2) Who fronts the modern day Wishbone Ash?

3) Who was the man behind the original Creedence Clearwater Revival?
