WELSHMAN Joe Calzaghe was crowned undisputed world super-middleweight champion in Cardiff today after a thrilling unanimous points victory over Denmark's Mikkel Kessler.
Calzaghe claimed 117-111, 116-112 (twice) verdicts on the three judges' scorecards at the end of a mesmerising contest which lived up to every inch of its illustrious billing.
The Welshman successfully defended his WBO title for the 21st time and also added Kessler's WBA and WBC titles to his collection at the end of the toughest fight of his career.
