IPSWICH Town reached the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time since 1996 thanks to an Alan Lee 63rd minute penalty at Portman Road this afternoon.
Lee struck after Jaime Peters had been held back by Tom Williams in a game where Ipswich created few chances against a talented and well-drilled League One Swansea side.
The Welsh side had a number of players booked in a match that came to life in the second period and in a competition sponsored by Town's main sponsors, E.ON.
Town's makeshift defence was weakened even further in the 61st minute when Richard Naylor went off, but with Fabian Wilnis outstanding Town kept a rare clean sheet and now hope for a lucrative draw in the next round.
