KEVIN Earp of Bury Golf Range defeated PGA European Seniors' Tour player Robin Mann of Felixstowe Golf Range, in the quarter-final of the Paul Wright and Co Suffolk PGA Winter matchplay at Thorpeness.

KEVIN Earp of Bury Golf Range defeated PGA European Seniors' Tour player Robin Mann of Felixstowe Golf Range, in the quarter-final of the Paul Wright and Co Suffolk PGA Winter matchplay at Thorpeness.
Earp was one up at the turn and three up with four to play after birdies at the 11th and 14th.
Mann hit back with a birdie at the 16th, but Earp birdied the 17th to close the match out for a 3 and 1 win.
Earp joins Andrew Robinson (Felixstowe Ferry) and Paul Wilby (Fynn Valley) in the semi-finals.
The remaining quarter-final will be between Alex Lucas of Waldringfeld and Simon Jay of Seckford.
