England Under-21 international Bent, is expected to sign a four-year-deal with the Barclays Premiership club later today after they agreed an initial fee of £2.5million with Town.
The transfer follows the Tractor Boys' failure to progress to the top flight via the play-offs after finishing third in the Coca-Cola Championship and it is expected sales of other stars Tommy Miller and Kelvin Davis will follow during the close season.
