IPSWICH Town manager Joe Royle today revealed the qualities that he feels Wimbledon keeper Kelvin Davis can bring to his club.
The Evening Star exclusively revealed yesterday that the Blues chief has gone in for the 27-year-old former England Under-21 international.
He explained: "We have put a proposal to Wimbledon and are waiting to hear back."
Royle set out why the former Luton man is top of his wanted list.
He said: "It would be lovely to get him. I know him well. He did well against us twice
last season. Kelvin is big, steady and strong His distribution is excellent.
"We need such a calming influence."
