FABIAN Wilnis today breathed a huge sigh of relief.

The Ipswich full-back, along with the rest of the Blues defensive line, is relieved that Darren Huckerby will not be in the Norwich City line-up for this Sunday's derby at Portman Road.

The Manchester City loanee signed off his successful spell at Carrow Road with a magnificent solo goal and a man-of-the-match performance in the 4-1 thrashing of Cardiff City on Saturday.

"Darren Huckerby was the Norwich star again and it is a relief that he will not be in their side this weekend," said Wilnis, who made his Town return in the 1-1 draw at The Den after missing one match with a hamstring pull.

"We have to be grateful for that and I am glad I will not be facing him. He has shown over the last few weeks that he can be a difficult player to stop and he has given the Canaries a big lift.

"We are now preparing for the derby and we are all looking forward to it. It is a game that we cannot lose, for the club and for our fans.

"We will need no incentive to beat Norwich and holding Millwall has done our confidence no harm. The Den is not an easy place to collect points and after going down to ten men we showed plenty of character."

It was Wilnis who preserved a precious point for Ipswich with a last-minute clearance off the line. He is now looking ahead to a three-point haul against Norwich.

The Dutchman popped up in the right place at the right time to head clear a shot from Mark Quigley in the dying seconds and give the Blues their just deserts in Saturday's controversial contest at Millwall.

"It was a reflex action," said Wilnis. "I saw the shot coming and managed to get in the way. We defended well and deserved to get something from the game."
