BOXING
SUFFOLK'S British and Commonwealth super middleweight champion David Starie will face a late replacement, British fighter OJ Abrahams, at York Hall, Bethnal Green tonight.
The news followed the weigh-in yesterday after the British Boxing Board of Control ruled that American fighter Kippy Warren could not fight because he had failed a brain scan.
Gordon Holmes, Starie's manager, said: "It is terrible news for the lad. The MRI scan found a cyst on his brain and they will not allow him to fight. They don't have to have scans in the USA.
"It is not ideal for us but the show must go on."
