A SCHOOLBOY howler by keeper Ben Nower ended a miserable 48 hours for AFC Sudbury as, following their FA Vase exit on Saturday, Nower's mistake gifted Bury the winning goal and put a dent in his side's hopes of retaining their league title.
Bury took their lead in their first attack after just five minutes. R Devereux's pass to Hyde was short with Eady looking to have fallen over Hyde's outstretched leg but a penalty was awarded. Stringfellow easily beat Nower.
The equaliser finally came when Owen's long throw was flicked on by Tracey with Claydon's shot blocked on the line, but B Devereux slammed home the loose ball.
Then came Nower's nightmare when Tracey's throw-in saw him completely miscue the ball straight to Stringfellow who tapped the ball into an empty net.
