BERKHAMSTED 1 IES LADIES 2
IN a match dominated by Ipswich East Suffolk, the Rushmere-based side came home with all three points from the Division Two South match in the Printwize East League.
It was a game relished by forwards and midfielders alike as IES were in full control throughout and they attacked constantly as well as using the full width of the pitch as often as possible.
The visitors took the lead during the first half when Annie Taylor swept home a Fran Poppleton cross, while Berks & Hemel had a few chances from short cornersas which they failed to convert.
At the back, Taylor was the springboard for pushing IES forward and they went further ahead when Abigail Adams sent Katie Digby clear.
Digby's initial shot rebounded off the keeper but her persistence saw her flick home the rebound.
Berks & Hemel pulled a goal back and in the closing minutes, Avril Adams made a crucial save to ensure IES took all three points.
