Leeds United boss Daniel Farke insists next Saturday's high stakes home clash with Ipswich Town is just another game.

Farke's men remained 10 points behind second-place Town after both sides drew at home yesterday - the Blues were held 2-2 by Norwich City, while Leeds shared the points 1-1 against Coventry City.

Southampton are now level on points with Leeds after tonking Blackburn Rovers 4-0.

All of which makes next Saturday's match at Elland Road a big one, with Town looking to extend the gap on Leeds, while Farke's men - who beat the Blues 4-3 in Suffolk earlier this season - get an opportunity to close it.

But Farke played it down after yesterday's draw.

“Like each and every other game,” Farke told Leeds Live, when asked about how important the Ipswich clash would be.

“Today it would be a valuable three points but (we) just (got) the one point and it’s the same next game.

“We have a chance to win three points and we want to go for it. And if not, we want one point, because we want to win as many as possible.

"It would be defining if it was the 43rd game because games against a direct opponent are important and can influence the games or points of a direct opponent.

"But it is not even half-time in the season so, for me, it is too early to speak about what will be at the end of the season.

"(This is) just another chance to win all three points and we go into every game greedy to win three points. But today doesn’t feel like one point won, it feels like two dropped.”

After the trip to Leeds, just two days before Christmas, Town return home to host table-toppers Leicester City on Boxing Day.
