Ipswich Town Women are in action as they host Portsmouth at the AGL Arena for the second weekend in succession this afternoon (2pm). Ross Halls previews the game.

Joe Sheehan's side look to avenge last Sunday's defeat as they were beaten in extra-time by Pompey in the quarter-finals of the FAWNL Cup.

Today's visitors are currently top of the FAWNL Southern Premier Division, four places and 11 points ahead of Town.

Jay Sadler's side have lost just once in 12 league game so far this season, with a 1-0 defeat coming at Hashtag United in September.

The Tractors Girls won their last league game with a 6-1 win at London Bees and suffered two defeats against Pompey last season.

A defeat doesn't mathematically end their title chances with Town going on a incredible winning run last season to narrowly miss out, but they would need to rely on other teams picking up points against each other.

In other news, Town are set to be without full-back Maisy Barker after the 21-year-old suffered an ankle-inury in last week's cup tie.

However, they could have on-loan Spurs forward Lenna Gunning-Williams back in the squad after a minor groin injury.

While midfielder Kyra Robertson has won the player of the month award for January.
