Freddie Ladapo and Panutche Camara have a new manager at loan club Charlton Athletic.

The Addicks have appointed former Southampton and Luton Town boss Nathan Jones, who has been out of work since being sacked by Saints in February last year after just 95 days in charge.

Charton dismissed Michael Appleton last month after a 12-match winless run and are now just three points above the relegation zone in the third tier.

The League One strugglers started the season with Dean Holden in charge but he was sacked in August, the first English Football League manager to lose his job during the 2023/24 season.

Ladapo joined the Addicks on loan last month, but is yet to score in his four starts so far.

Midfielder Camara has been at The Valley since the summer, but has made just eight appearances due to injury setbacks.

He is close to a return from his hamstring injury which he suffered back in October.

Jones' first game in charge will be on Saturday at fellow strugglers Reading, who are two places and three points below the South London club.
