The Blues had a shaky start to the season but the pair have guided them to third in the Isthmian North Division, the eighth-tier of English football.

Skuse won the manager of the month award for three successive months in December, January and February for his side's impressive winning run which saw them win 16 of their last 19 games.

This form put into the title race alongside fellow Suffolk sides Lowestoft Town and Felixstowe & Walton United.

Draws with both over the Easter weekend leave them eight points off automatic promotion with a game in hand ahead of their final four fixtures.

In total, Skuse made 278 appearances and scored twice for Ipswich during his eight year spell at Portman Road.
