Former Ipswich Town duo Toto Nsiala and Mustapha Carayol are now free agents after their contracts expired at League One side Burton Albion.

The pair are among the seven players released by the Brewers, who secured their safety in the third tier on the final day of the 2023/24 season.

Nsiala signed for Burton in February on a short-term deal after leaving Fleetwood Town by mutual consent in November.

The defender made 11 appearances and scored one goal during his spell at Pirelli Stadium.

Carayol, who is now 35, departs the Staffordshire club after two seasons, having joined on a free transfer from Gillingham in September 2022.

The winger went on feature 62 times for Burton, scoring three goals as he helped them stay in League One in both campaigns.

In total, Nsiala made over 50 appearances for Ipswich, while Carayol had a brief spell at Portman Road back in 2018, playing just eight games in all competitions.
