A building on the Ipswich Waterfront has thrown its support for Ipswich Town's push for promotion at Portman Road.

The Old Customs House, the HQ for Associated British Ports (ABP) will be lit up in blue and white with banners, flags ahead of the Tractor Boys' clash with QPR which could see them promoted back to the Premier League.

The Waterfront building has been lit up in the past to support causes, such as disabled day with the building also turning pink ahead of Ed Sheeran's homecoming shows last summer.

As part of the Town behind the Team, businesses are being encouraged to display player posters, dress their shopfronts in blue and white, installing bunting, flags or balloons, share campaign graphics on social media channels and encourage staff to wear blue and white or town shirts on game day.

Chief executive of Ipswich Central, Lee Walker said: "This is a moment for Ipswich to be proud, visible and united.

"Ipswich has always been at its best when it gets behind something together. This is a simple but powerful way for the whole town to show its support.”
