A heavyweight boxer from Ipswich has triggered a rematch after being defeated in a "fight for the ages" last weekend.
Fabio Wardley has promised Daniel Dubois that he is "coming for you and my belt" following his 11th-round defeat in Manchester.
The Ipswich heavyweight lost his title after being stopped by Dubois, but he has now activated his contractual right to a second bout, which is expected to take place before the end of the year.
"The boxing world knows my character, and Saturday night proved that without a shred of doubt," Wardley said on Sky Sports.
"It was a fight for the ages, but I made some mistakes that I will rectify in the rematch.
"Congratulations to Daniel, but I'm coming for you and my belt."
Dubois knocked down Wardley in the first 10 seconds of the fight and again in the third round before securing the stoppage in the 11th.
Fabio Wardley became Ipswich's first-ever heavyweight boxing world champion in November after reigning champion Oleksandr Usyk relinquished the title.
