CHRISTCHURCH made a shaky start with Mildenhall pressing forward from the whistle, which set the pattern of play for the first half.

Fourteen year old Harriet Peachey made an impressive debut up front for the visitors, but the forward line could not find a way past the solid Mildenhall defence.

Mildenhall's attacking play was rewarded with two goals from Joanne Hebb and Jeanette Boucheron and at half-time, Christchurch brought on Sam Dean and Julie Spice.

Despite their efforts Mildenhall added a third when Hebb's short corner strike took a slight deflection as it rocketed past Natasha Last.

Christchurch tried to make a game of it, with Caroline Risk supporting the forwards from her midfield role and Margaret Gray's persistence up front was finally rewarded with a well taken goal.
