A GOOD size crowd witnessed an entertaining game settled in the 61st minute when Swann chased a lost cause into the corner, he collected the ball beating three players running across the penalty area and beat Charters with a drive that bounced over the keepers arms. But the goal had been coming from the start.
The first half had been a bit of cat and mouse Whitton weren't prepared to concede and the Felixstowe defence held firm against the Whitton raiding attackers.
The Felixstowe goalkeeper Charters made a string of fine saves throughout, the best of which was in the opening seconds of the second half when Swann raced clear to thunder a drive which Charters acrobatically turned over the bar.
Felixstowe's only real chance came from a 40 yard shot from Wells which missed everybody and the goal.
