IPSWICH Witches asset Savalas Clouting has no plans to ride this season. The 27-year-old is now running his own business and is the father of two young children.

He is not required by Eastbourne, who he rode for last season and has turned down a request to ride in the Premier League for Somerset.

"When Eastbourne showed no interest it made up my mind for me," said Clouting. "I may prepare one bike ready just in case I get the urge to have a go again."

Ipswich are still short of two riders for their British League Cup side, but based on past experiences at Foxhall Stadium there was no chance of Clouting being included.

Although he did well when part of the 1998 treble-winning side he has since twice been ousted from the team after barracking from fans.
