Club says farewell to volunteer Di

EVERY club has volunteers, it cannot operate without them, but every now and again a club is blessed with someone who continues to support the club long after their child has left for pastures new.

EVERY club has volunteers, it cannot operate without them, but every now and again a club is blessed with someone who continues to support the club long after their child has left for pastures new.

Team Ipswich are blessed with more than one of these characters but, after running the club shop for 11 years, Di Girling has decided that it's time to move on. Her daughter left the club some years ago but she has continued to ensure that the club shop operated smoothly, either at Tuesday club nights or on the numerous gala's held at Crown Pools.

To mark its appreciation, Team Ipswich said goodbye to Girling with a small presentation and gifts to reward her support.
