Both Suffolk teams start their programme on Saturday when they travel to Peterborough & Whittlesey to play Northants (both games commence at 2pm.).
Following the trials held at Kessingland Bowls Club, the Adams selectors decided to make only one change, a forced one, so Shame Wildon, who skipped an unbeaten rink in the Newton team last year, finds himself promoted to the senior squad.
The selected team to play at Whittlesey Manor is: Mark Cole (Kessingland) David Cattermole (Stradbroke & Dist) Shane Wildon (California), David Cattermole (Thorndon) Brian Thorpe (Thorndon) David Rayfield (Kirton & Falkenham), Stuart Ayers (Laxfield) Ray Utteridge (Waldringfield & Dist) David Brown (St Botolphs), J Summons (Kessingland) Nimbus Bunn (Kessingland) Joe Bugg (Old Newton), Alan Brunton (Laxfield) Kelvin Farman (Kessingland) Chris McIntyre (Thorndon), Paul Utting (Wrentham) Justin Sims (Norbridge) Mick Page (California).
Non-playing captain: Peter Plummer.
In the Newton side, one forced change has had to be made since the final selection following the trials so the following will represent Suffolk to play at Parkway BC Peterborough in their bid to retain the trophy: Richard Parker (Alderton) Clive Baker (Alderton) Peter Dixon (Walsham - Le - Willows), Mark Baker (Tunstall) Billy Elliston (Norbridge) Erol Feaveayear (Ixworth), Derek Rookyard (Thornham Magna) Keith Crabbe (Thorndon) David Canfer (Thornham Magna), Paul Cullum (Stone Lodge) Kevin Halls (California) Ian Page (California), Ivan Doe (Thornham Magna) Daniel Staff (Coney Weston Swan) Phillip Nunn (Norbridge), Bernard Firman (Stowmarket Woodfield) Shaun Cook (Thurlton) Barry Creasey (Norbridge).
