FELIXSTOWE and Walton United hope to kick-off the New Year with three Ridgeons League Premier Division points when they take on neighbours Woodbridge Town at Dellwood Avenue on Monday afternoon.

Prior to this afternoon's game against King's Lynn reserves, Felixstowe had won just two of their previous 13 league matches.

Steve Potts' side, promoted last season, topped the table in September, but have slipped down in recent weeks.

They now have ex-Ipswich Wanderers defenders Terry Layton and Alan Mills on their books, while defender Gary Henderson is fit again after a long time on the injury list.

Felixstowe will be looking for goals from Gavin Frost, Danny Phillips and Dwayne Edwards, while Woodbridge have their own lively forwards in Joe Francis, Allicion Blake and Paul Berry.

Ridgeons League fixtures for Monday, January 1 (kick-offs 3pm).

Premier Division: Dereham v King's Lynn Res, Felixstowe and Walton United v Woodbridge Town, Kirkley v Wroxham, Wisbech v Histon Res.

Division One: Downham v Swaffham, March v Ely, Yarmouth v Fakenham.
