Ipswich Rugby Club saw off the challenge of Essex outfit Braintree at Humber Doucy Lane on Saturday.
Ipswich led 45-5 by half-time but Braintree put up good resistance in the second half to restrict their hosts to just seven points.
Ipswich lead London 2 North by two points from Saffron Walden, while Braintree are fourth from bottom.
