WITH top rider Scott Nicholls scoring just six points and their reserves managing two between them, Ipswich were well beaten by title favourites Poole Pirates.
The visitors shrugged off their home defeat by Coventry on Wednesday to win a topsy-turvy Sky Sports Elite League meeting at Foxhall Stadium last night.
The misty, damp conditions caught the Evening Star Witches out and they go into their match at Eastbourne tomorrow night staring a third successive defeat in the face.
