THE Evening Star story with Achilles manager Alan Middle - when he expressed his view that Grundisburgh can be accused of trying to buy the Metaltec SIL title - clearly ruffled feathers.
And it has prompted this reply from Achilles chairman Dave Morgan: “I was away at the weekend and missed all the hassle arising from Alan's comments.
“Achilles' 'Corinthian' approach is, I believe, well known and appreciated in local football circles.
“In supporting Alan to the hilt I have little doubt that his views are identical to mine - that all clubs have the right to adopt their own approach to the quest for success.
“That is their own business and, provided they don't violate the rules, good luck to them.”
