IPSWICH Town new loan signing Asmir Begovic today made it clear that he has come to Portman Road on a three-month deal to play first team football.
The 22-year-old Bosnia- Herzegovina international keeper trained with his team mates for the first time today and will be in the squad for Saturday's home Championship game against Swansea City.
Begovic, who has been with Portsmouth since he was 16 and has featured in two Premier League games this term, said: “It is up to the manager, but my intention is to play.
“An opportunity to join Ipswich Town arose and it was too good to turn down.”
