Newcastle United are rumoured to be interested in signing Ipswich Town’s frontman Daryl Murphy.
The club would likely want a big fee for the 33-year-old, who wrote his name in the history books after bagging 27 goals for Town during the 2014/15 season.
The Tyneside club would have to close a deal for the Irish international Murphy before the transfer deadline closes on Wednesday.
He was previously linked with the Magpies back in July.
The rumours come ahead of Town’s home clash against Preston North End tomorrow.
