SOUTHAMPTON have ended their search to find a replacement for former manager George Burley.
Burley's former number two at Ipswich Town, John Gorman, and Jason Dodd will remain in charge St Mary's for the "foreseeable future".
The Saints board have spoken to a number of candidates to succeed George Burley, who took up the role of Scotland coach last month.
But this week's announcement that the Coca-Cola Championship club are in preliminary discussions with potential investors, coupled with the team's performances in the last three games, means caretakers Gorman and Dodd are to stay in charge - possibly until the end of the season.
