IPSWICH Town chairman David Sheepshanks today denied that the club had agreed to sell striker Alan Lee to fellow Coca-Cola Championship club Burnley for £1m.
Sheepshanks, speaking ahead of this afternoon's Championship match at Blackpool, said: “We haven't had a bid from Burnley and one has certainly not been accepted. There is a lot going on but Alan Lee is still our player.”
Lee, who had a previous spell at Burnley, maintains that he is settled at Ipswich Town and not looking to leave the club.
He said today: “I have not heard anything and I want to stay with Ipswich.”
