A LAST-minute heartbreaker condemned Ipswich Town to defeat – and most likely to another season in the first division.
Despite matching high-flying West Brom for much of the match, Town's defensive frailties were eventually exposed – and they went down to a 94th-minute clincher by sharpshooter Geoff Horsfield.
Town had taken the lead in the first half when Tommy Miller scored a cracking goal from the edge of the box.
It stayed that way until mid-way through the second half when two goals in as many minutes changed the shape of the match.
Jason Koumas scored from a direct free kick in the 70th minute and then Lloyd Dyer put Albion in the lead while the Town defence was still trying to regroup.
A scrambled goal by Darren Bent after hard work by substitute Shefki Kuqi levelled the scores on 78 minutes before Horsfield had the final say in the game.
