IPSWICH Town boss Roy Keane has rubbished rumours linking Kieron Dyer with a return to his old club.
Midfielder Dyer, whose career has been ravaged by injuries in recent seasons, left Portman Road in the summer of 1999 to join Newcastle for 6m.
The 31-year-old moved on to West Ham for another 6m fee, but has only started five league games in the last two-and-a-half years for the Hammers, due to injuries.
“It's utter rubbish,” insisted Keane, with reference to Town being linked with Dyer. “He's still injured, isn't he? Kieron Dyer is not a player that I'm interested in, at this moment in time.
“If we were interested in a player, then we'd contact the club.”
