ALTHOUGH delighted with his stoppage time equaliser, Tommy Miller is already looking ahead to the Preston game and a team he holds a voodoo sign over.

Miller netted with an exquisite free-kick to salvage a point for Ipswich at Wolves and keep their play-off hopes alive.

Miller said: “The goal has been a long time coming, but I'm delighted for the lads because we deserved that.

“With two games to go we still have everything to play for. We have got to keep going right to the end because anything is possible.”

But for it to count for anything Miller knows Town need to win at Deepdale and he is hoping he can carry on his goal-scoring exploits against Preston.

The Blues midfielder has netted seven goals in eight games against the Lilywhites and has never been on the losing side against them.

Miller scored in the 2-1 win at Portman Road last October and has netted in three of another five games for Town against Preston, making him Ipswich's highest scorer against Preston. He has also banged in three goals in two games for Hartlepool against the Lancastrians.

Miller said: “We go to Preston, a team I always seem to do well against, so it would be great if I can score again and we can get the three points.

“It won't bother me if I don't score and it is one of the other lads, because the most important thing is to get the three points.”

Miller knows that Town need to win at Deepdale to try and catch Crystal Palace whose 2-0 win at Watford puts the three points ahead of Town in the final play-off place.

Wolves can go ahead of Town if they beat Cardiff at Molineux tomorrow, while Sheffield United are also looking to close the gap.

Meanwhile, Everton have again been linked with life-long Liverpool fan Owen Garvan who last week said he has put a decision to sign a two-year contract extension offer by Town, on hold until the summer.

Garvan, who has a year left on his current deal, has made it clear he wants to be playing Premier League football and has also been linked with Aston Villa, Birmingham, West Ham and Wigan.
