IPSWICH Town skipper Jason De Vos has revealed that promotion to the Premier League will have no influence on his decision to carry on playing in 2008/09.
The 34-year-old central defender has been offered a new one-year contract by the Blues and will decide whether to sign it at the end of this campaign.
He has options to go into the media field in Canada, and this is what he will be doing for part of this close season.
De Vos confirmed today: “It doesn't matter whether Ipswich are in the Premier League, which I hope they are, or the Championship. This will not influence my decision either way.
“What I can confirm is that if I do carry on playing next season it will be for Ipswich Town.”
