JEREMY Doncaster began his 21st speedway season today declaring: "I feel as keen as ever."
The 40-year-old former world number three first rode for Ipswich in 1982 and Reading is his only other club having ridden for the Racers from 1989 to 1993.
The 2002 Evening Star Witches squad met up for the first time today at Foxhall Stadium for the club's annual Press Day. On Saturday night the Ipswich season proper begins with the Billy Sanders Memorial meeting with new signings Joonas Kylmakorpi, Leigh Lanham and Danny Bird all on show.
"I feel like a 21-year-old," quipped Doncaster. "Like the rest of the lads I can't wait to get started."
